I found this photograph of my great-great-grandparents.
Is it great, or what?!
It makes me laugh and also want to suck a lemon.
Salty like hot dogs (and tears). Sweet like marmalade (and life).

If someone had gone back and said “One day, we’ll put this photo digitally onto the internet onto a blog” I wonder what they would’ve thought, haha, had the concept been explained to them.
What year is this from–early 1900s? Take care.
I donโt have a year, but yes, early 1900s
My goodness! Were they immigrants?
From Nova Scotia, which doesnโt feel like it should count
hard times no doubt
People from back in the day seem to never really welcome a photograph of themselves! The shawl is hand-tatted, yes? I wonder if she made it, or if it was bequeathed by a loved one. A lovely photo — what a lucky find!
I think the shutter speed was so slow on early cameras that they were told not to smile so they could maintain the same facial expression. Yes, the shawl has to be handmade. A great find indeed!
I love it they look like the could be fun but you’d have to work for it ๐๐๐
I agree
She looks stern.
Pretty cool
