Daffodil
Smiling flower
At my workplace
Joy in the clutter

Overfriendly salesman
Hogging the conversation
“Hey, there! Notice me!”
Pretension
A double-elfchen written to participate in a poetry prompt from The Skeptic’s Kaddish W3 #54
An “Elfchen” has a set form of 11 words, the lines having 1-2-3-4-1 words, respectively. The first word is the topic and the final word is often a commentary or summary. The two elfchen are supposed to present opposing views.
Seriously, though — is there an opposite to Daffodil?
Beautiful 💜💜
I’ve photographed some here lately.
We’ve all known those salespeople, Sally! Well written indeed. ❤

Thanks, David. It was so hard for me to think of something opposing a daffodil. Daffodils don’t invade my space the way an over-zealous salesperson does. They simply exist — and, to me, they are the happiest flower.
Hi, Sally ❤
Just wanna let you know that this week's W3 prompt, hosted by our beloved Punam, is now live:
Enjoy!
Much love,
David
Thank you so much. I’ll try to write something again this week!
🤗
Cleverly executed elfchens. Loved the personification. Loved all. Great photo too.
It really IS my cluttered workspace! A greenhouse brings us fresh plants to brighten it up. I LOVE the daffodils.
One of my favourite flowers so uplifting just like your poem 😊
Aw, thanks. They’re are definitely one of my favorite flowers too!
Nothing like a daffodil smile to brighten a gloomy day! 💞
Daffodils are some of my favorites! Nicely done.
Thank you!
💛 Ah, daffodillies! They are the beauty at the centre of contrasting purpose and reaction in your poems. 💛
That exercise forced me to try to look at daffodils differently. They’re actually one of my absolute favorite flowers!
💛💛💛 mine too!
Love the contrast, Sally.
Thank you!
You are welcome.
