I showed this photo to a friend whose first comment was something like “I bet that bike would be worth a lot today!” I looked it up. Yes, the bike is classified as vintage.
Ah, vintage.

It is vingage… the prices these things go for now. Made me wish I looked after my bikes as a kid.

I had to chuckle at your comment about “vintage”! I had a 1968 Columbia 3-speed touring bike (maroon with white striping). I sold it for $30 which was about what my parents paid for it – after I sold it, I saw one just like it on eBay for $200! Some things are more valuable as they age…
