It’s going to sound rather silly, but my dream Scottish vacation would be to go spend anywhere from a week to a month in some small town on the coast of Scotland.
The two things that I want to do are:
- Skip stones in the North Sea, or the Sea of the Hebrides, or the Irish Sea — whichever body of water is there. I would also gather a few stones smoothed by the sea as keepsakes.
- Eat dinner at the same pub every night. I would eavesdrop on the conversations around me as I savor the speakers’ Scottish accents.
